Role overview
What you'll do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Work closely with technical consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Review and validate test plans and activities to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Validate and execute test scripts to verify system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with both business and IT teams to confirm test case expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Apply ServiceNow integration expertise to facilitate seamless data field mapping from ServiceNow to IBM systems.
- Provide support during system implementations and post-implementation support as needed.
- Identify and communicate potential risks or issues related to project deliverables and timelines.
- Maintain documentation and records related to system requirements, testing procedures, and project outcomes.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration and data field mapping.
- Familiarity with IBM systems is a plus.
- Thorough approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is preferred, but not required.

Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Halifax, NS. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
