Job description

• Manage Quality Management System (QMS) Team activities within Toronto site
• Manage Internal Audit Program
• Manage System Corrective Action Board (CAB) and coach employees on Root Cause and Corrective Action Methodology
• Liaise with Customers and Regulatory Authorities, (i.e. TCCA, EASA, FAA, etc.).
• Monitor customer/regulatory requirements, anticipate change & identify business processes affected
• Manage resource load and capacity and plan accordingly to meet objectives
• Support site QMS process management by engaging Company Managers and personnel to ensure:
o Requirements are reviewed and gaps are identified
o Procedures and manuals are created and maintained, as required
o QMS processes are capable of achieving objectives and continuously improved
• Lead the timely completion of QIS projects impacting the Toronto site Quality department (QMS, Program, Production and Special Process Quality teams)
• Defines in collaboration with IT the roadmap (& priorities) the associated resources & skills needed for implementation (Some in IT, some in Quality), & the potential budget for approval.
• Lead/Support work packages in Quality for Paperless Traveler project

Job Requirements

• Expert in the auditing of management systems. (ASQ Certification or equivalent an asset)
More than three years of experience in leading teams
• Awareness of applicable Airworthiness Regulations and Aerospace Standards, (i.e. CAR 571, CAR 573 & EASA Part 145, CAAC and AS Standards)
• Experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS)
o Lead/Participate in the regular Committee meetings
• Thorough knowledge of Quality tools and methodologies
o Training and change management skills a must
• Must be motivated with high energy level to drive results and possesses good negotiation skills
o Communicate with Internal/External Customers and Regulatory Authorities
o Understand and influence Company business processes and organization
o Develop action/improvement plans and follow up on implementation
o Drive process improvements
• Presentation, technical writing skills, with experience in creating procedures and/or manuals
• Multi-project management experience
• Excellent people management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and oral communication and presentation skills in English (French is a desired asset)
• Ability to convince, influence, negotiate, support and gain consensus across different working groups
• Risk analysis / mitigation skills
