Position: Carpenter
Salary: $25 - $40/hr, based on experience

We are seeking a full-time Carpenter to join our fast-growing, dynamic team.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time Carpenter, who is safety-oriented and has a keen eye for detail, is accurate in their measurements, and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and a team player, as this job requires excellent communication skills and a readiness to help fellow team members. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to support the team in all general duties, take instructions, and complete assigned tasks based on those instructions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp the requirements of the project.
- Accurately take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed for a project.
- Skilled in the use of all tools necessary to cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
- Ability to build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
- Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Ability to assemble/build scaffolding and other structures needed for construction.
- The ability to install items such as siding, millwork, and insulation is an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for site maintenance, demolition, and assisting with carpentry tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction as required.
- Ability to work well on your own as required under minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman ticket or proof of apprenticeship.
- Experience as a Carpenter.
- Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials.
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools.
- Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times.
- Strong basic math skills.
- First Aid, WHIMS, and Fall Protection Certifications are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices, equipment, and materials
- Ability to work in changing environmental conditions (i.e., indoors/outdoors, sun, snow etc.)
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This is a physically demanding role, candidates must be capable of lifting, digging, carrying, and climbing. Candidates will be working in various environments which can affect the physical demands.
