Reporting to the Talent and Culture Director, the Human Resources Technician offers support to the team in carrying out administrative tasks related to human resources. He is also responsible for answering incoming calls and welcoming visitors by providing friendly and human customer service. He plays a support role for all departments of the company and is called upon to deal with directors and employees at different hierarchical levels for all requests. He performs all other related tasks related to his position.

Responsibilities:
Human ressources
- Provides daily assistance to the team and responds to various requests from unionized and office employees.
- Coordinates the reception and integration of new employees.
- Gets involved in health & safety projects and helps monitor and progress projects.
- Support the team in the administrative management of employee files, special mandates or disciplinary measures files.
- Provides assistance with recruitment (e.g. job postings, professional references, legal references).
- Participates in visibility activities in schools and develops partnerships with organizations.
- Coordinates training, collects certificates and attendance sheets and updates the training management system.
- Conducts case law research in labor relations files.
- Writes minutes during labor relations or health and safety committees.
- Produces reports and updates performance indicators.
- Manages employee purchasing requests for personal protective equipment (safety shoes, molded caps, prescription safety glasses).
- Is responsible for managing work clothing; collaborates with the supplier, manages issues and ensures proper inventory management.
Administrative
- Answers calls and greets visitors, contractors and agency staff at the front desk.
- Sees to the needs of visitors and coordinates on-site meetings.
- Coordinates, at the request of directors and the operational team, the reservation of rooms or other travel reservations (plane tickets, hotels, meals, cars, etc.) for foreign visitors or travelers.
- Support with stationery and purchasing office supplies.
- Assists in the organization of special events.
- Manages correspondence and mail.
- Takes care of archiving, classifying or collecting forms.
- Support with internal and external communications.
Travel
– May be required to occasionally travel nearby (for purchases or commissions).
Qualifications and Requirements
- AEC in human resources management or DEC in accounting and management, human resources management component or a DEC in human sciences, administration component or any other training deemed relevant;
- 1 – 3 years of experience in human resources, office automation and/or administration.
- Knowledge of the MS-Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Mastery of social media
