Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative – St. Catharines
Job Description Our client is looking for a positive and ambitious individual to join their Commercial Lines Team as a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative in their Complex Division.
The focus of this role is to provide a high level of support to the Complex Division where they take a Team Approach to customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, processing and transacting Renewals, Endorsements, Cancellations
- Follow up for New Policies, Renewals, Endorsements
- Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets
- Assist with the preparation of Renewal Presentations and New Business Proposals
- Assist Account Managers with marketing accounts by preparing, sending, tracking, and researching Submissions to insurance companies
- Develop insurance market knowledge in order to know where a risk will fit
- Understand wordings and coverages to be able to compare insurance policies and quotes
- Issue Certificates of Insurance and electronic Liability Slips
- Follow up with clients for outstanding documents and provide service for policy changes.
- Order automobile reports by following a documented procedure
- Request loss experience reports from insurance companies
- Adhere to our client's Commercial Underwriting Guidelines and Procedures
Skills you will need to succeed:
- Knowledge and/or experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, and Commercial Auto Insurance
- Completed or enrolled in the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) program
- College Insurance Program Diploma or an undergraduate degree is an asset
- Accomplished with MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficient with computer systems
- Experience with a Broker Management System, with Applied EPIC being an asset
- RIBO Licensed or willing to obtain
- Effective communication skills
- A positive and keen attitude to meet client needs
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
- Detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to expand your Commercial Insurance knowledge
- Remain open to learning and sharing knowledge with other Team members
