We have a great opportunity for you to join local packaging company as a Press Operator.
Our client in Guelph is looking for an experienced Litho Press Operator ( 5 years of experience ) to join their busy team.
This packaging manufacturer is looking for someone with previous experience operating manual press.
This is a rotating shift position on 8 colour 40” Komori Press.

We are looking for candidates who are able to work on day, afternoon and night shift.
Day shaft is Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm.
Afternoon shift is Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm and night shift is 11pm-7am Sunday to Thursday

Responsibilities
ensure quality of each product
- produce printed material with great detail to colour / maintain colour density and consistency
- set up all colours in correct rotation to meet quality needs
- perform press make-readies to meet production requirements
- issue printing WIP in Globe-Tek when loads are to be double passed
-responsible for troubleshoot and press maintenance
- review docket information to ensure proper job is produced
- complying with Health and Safety as well as P.E.E standards
- complete Work Order Forms and forward to Maintenance Manager when work is required on the printing press
Qualifications
Previous knowledge of printing press process and machines
5 years of previous experince
Mechanical aptitude
Must be willing to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts
Good oral and written communications skills
Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
Good organization skills and leadership skills
Must be able to perform basic math calculations
Computer savvy
