Job description

Open positions for Millwrights, Instrument Mechanics, Pipefitters and Welders in the West Vancouver, Richmond and Delta, BC.

We are expanding quickly and have a few openings for ticketed individuals to assist with maintenance, repairs and diagnostics of our large industrial equipment. We are a very clean facility and need someone who is able to work with pumps, generators, hvacs, vales, sediment tanks, trickling filters and a variety of other machines we have. We have a lot of older machines in use currently but we are seeking people who can help us update these in the future. This is a union position so we are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term opportunity. We offer great benefits, lots of employee perks and plenty of internal growth.

Multiple Locations Hiring:
Richmond,
Delta/ Annacis Island
West Vancouver
Working Days: Monday- Friday
Job Time: Between 6:30am-7:00am until 3:00pm- 3:30pm
Wage offered: over $42.77 - Union position and pay varies depending on the role
Red Seal is preferred with 3-5 years experience
Transit friendly location but valid drivers license required for company vehicle

Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains and services valves, meters, and various piping systems throughout the region
- Maintains technical currency related to the trade
- Assist welders with layout work and provides minor maintenance welding
- Investigates, troubleshoots, and takes action on problems
- Installs, maintains and aligns all conveyor systems chains, sprockets, plates, pumps, drives and compressors.
- Maintains, repairs and overhauls equipment such as diesel/gas engines, and electric generating units
- Work with high pressure gas and air compressors, blowers, large pumps, grinders, grit removal vortexes, conveyors, hand and pneumatic valves etc.

Qualifications
- Red Seal or Trades Ticket required as per union contract
- Ability to work with a variety of machines switching throughout your day
- Good time management and good with preventative maintenance
- Available for full-time work and interested in longevity
- High consideration for safety and experience handling chemicals
- Ability to work with newer or older type of treatment equipment
- Located in or around the Richmond, Delta, or West Vancouver BC area
