Distributor Sales Representative
OTE $80-90K
Primary Job Duties:
Outside Sales:
- Develop sales opportunities and meet with architects, construction companies, installers, and consumers.
- Regularly visit, check in and call on accounts; understand their needs, identify sales opportunities, and promote the brand.
- Assist customers by resolving inquiries and complaints.
- The AM will be directly responsible for accurate sales reporting for proper management of assigned accounts.
- Work closely with warehouse team to ensure that supply will fulfil demand.
- Report sales and new account growth to the management team on a monthly basis.
- Learn and be familiar with entering sales orders in the company’s CRM platform, Odoo. May require manual order entry at times.
- Request sample packages from the company Yard, and deliver or ship them to customers.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of company products, installation methods, and indoor and outdoor applications.
Business Development:
- Work collaboratively with the management team, and research potential target markets to discover prospecting opportunities.
- Assist management with negotiation strategies to secure targeted opportunities.
- Participate in trade shows and special events.
- Assist management team with dividing sales territories to prevent over and under-servicing.
Brand Partnerships and Retailer Support:
- Build and foster partnerships with retailers and client accounts.
- Act as technical advisor to retailers; advising retailers on technical information, sales tactics, installation methods, market trends, conducting product demos and handling questions/ inquiries.
- When a new retailer is secured, contact the company designer to help advise setting up their showroom displays.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or business development.
- Proficient with CRM systems and strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
- Experience using a CRM system – Odoo is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college is considered an asset.
- Possess strong business acumen, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Able to operate motor vehicle, pick-up truck and trailer weighing less than 4,500 kg.
