Applications are invited to the position of Chief Medical Information Officer at William Osler Health System (Osler), a hospital system which includes Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness. Osler will also play a critical role in the development of Ontario’s next net-new Medical School, in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), and as part of its transition to an Academic Health Centre. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Transformation and Chief Information and Privacy Officer, the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) will be a central role in leading the practice of Medical Informatics at William Osler Health System.  With a system-wide, holistic approach, the CMIO will help develop and communicate a vision for systems that will serve Osler’s patients and staff in the delivery of care, empowering staff and clients alike and building excitement for a large-scale transformation.  A key principle of Osler’s strategy is focused on modernizing its platform that fosters direct ties to research and innovation and better enables integration into community by extending IT services and platform into community partners.

As the ideal candidate, you bring strong clinical credibility and a designation in good standing with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, proven experience leading significant change management and systems implementation, and relevant field experience in healthcare and technology. You have a proven track record of being skilled in diagnosing and solving complex clinical process problems through innovative and creative systems solutions and providing detailed analysis. You are a strong communicator and collaborative leader and understand how to successfully navigate challenging projects while keeping stakeholders apprised of challenges and obstacles.
