Job description

Reception Duties:

* Greet clients and visitors in a professional manner.
* Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
* Manage and schedule appointments and meetings for lawyers.
File Organization:

* Maintain and organize physical and electronic legal files.
* Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all sensitive
documents.
* Assist in the retrieval of documents and files as requested by
lawyers and senior clerks.
Drafting Legal Documents:

* Prepare initial drafts of legal documents, such as letters,
contracts, and pleadings, under the supervision of a lawyer or senior
clerk.
* Conduct legal research to support document preparation as directed.
* Ensure all documents comply with legal procedures and are properly
formatted.
Client Communication:

* Act as a liaison between clients and lawyers, conveying messages,
and providing case updates.
* Prepare and send out client correspondence under the direction of
the lawyer.
Administrative Support:

* Assist in the billing process, including preparing invoices and
tracking payments.
* Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing,
and mailing.
* Maintain office supplies by checking stocks and placing orders.

Requirements:

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management
software.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Previous experience in a legal support role preferred but not
mandatory.
* French language an asset but not mandatory.
