Job description

Are you an engineer with experience leading a team of CNC machinists within the machine shop?
Do you have experience and deep knowledge of CNC parts machining?

Our client is a custom manufacturer of state-of-the-art, high-speed automation, robotic, and packaging machines & work cells and is looking to hire a passionate engineer with supervisory experience working with CNC parts manufacturing using the SolidWorks CAM software. This role is based out of beautiful Prescott, ON.

Responsibilities
- working along side engineers and machinists within a collaborative team environment
- leading a team of CNC machinists to accomplish daily production goals
- working with parts in SolidWorks & developing SolidWorks API’s
- automation & programming of tool paths within SolidWorksCamPro (CamWorks)
- expanding our technological database for optimum feeds, speeds and processing
- advancing our cutting tool & tool holder technology
- continuous quality control and improvement

- physical organization, work flow and lean initiatives within the shop

Qualifications
- a 4-year engineering degree or a 3-year technology degree
- 3 years of team leadership experience
- 3 years of CNC machining experience
- a proficiency with software packages, specifically Solidworks & CAM programming
- a proficiency with Microsoft Office software specifically Word & Excel
