Your new role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will be working on projects from concept to construction. You will have experience working with and managing project teams (both internal teams and outside consultants) to coordinate and resolve designs that maintain conceptual clarity and quality in the documents and materials you produce. The successful candidate will be using Revit as a regular project delivery tool through the working drawing stage, and you will be comfortable assisting others with this and other software. The successful candidate will have worked in BC and have a solid understanding of the building code and municipal approvals process.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have 10+ years experience, ideally 5+ years in BC, you will be registered or eligible to be registered as an architectural technologist with the AIBC. You will be passionate about design and dedicated to design excellence, you will also be familiar with all aspects of the architect’s role in the design and construction process. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of concrete and wood construction, building envelope, building detailing and building systems, BC Building Code and VBBL, sustainable design strategies and superior building energy performance targets. You will be highly experienced in REVIT, Adobe suite, Office suite and Bluebeam. You will have experience coordinating engineering and consultant teams, have excellent graphic and written/verbal communication skills and be highly motivated.
