By doing so, they will be unleashing the power of information to drive faster decision-making, improved agility, strong security policies, and an increased ability to both exploit the opportunities and control the risks of enterprise information.

The Portfolio Manager will support an IT portfolio as a senior point of contact between PMO and IT and line-of-business leaders. This role helps plan, scope, and prioritize initiatives to meet business needs. Additionally, this position determines the implications of business strategy for short/long term IT initiatives and advances appropriate solutions.

This position monitors and reports on a consolidated set of projects, programs, and associated changes for delivery across the assigned line of business. This individual keeps current the overall portfolio timeline and the budget for a line of business. Additionally, this role raises emerging issues and recommends necessary actions to course correct. IT, the business leaders and the Portfolio Manager must make trade-off decisions in terms of budget and resources where required.

Working under the Director, IT PMO, the Portfolio Manager will oversee a team of Program Managers, Lead Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers ensuring alignment with corporate and business strategy, process consistency across initiatives, and customer satisfaction.  In this capacity, they will also provide mentoring, coaching, training, and development of team members.
