Key Responsibilities:
- Review and post bills/receipts to appropriate cost codes with the agility of a lacrosse midfielder dodging defenders. Utilize cutting-edge technological support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
- Process expense claims with the finesse of a hockey forward executing a power play. Harness technological tools to streamline the process and keep our financial operations moving at lightning speed.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and select GL accounts with the precision of a baseball pitcher aiming for the perfect strike. Keep our financial records in top shape to ensure a winning season.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure accurate coding of expenses, just like hockey teammates strategizing plays on the ice. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and maintain a strong defense against errors.
- Properly account for Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) as if preparing for a championship game. Prepare standard compliance filings with the accuracy and dedication of a baseball player practicing for the World Series.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary: Formal training in accounting through an accounting diploma or B. Comm will set you above the rest!
- Financial MVP: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, showcasing your ability to perform under pressure and deliver winning results.
- Tech Savvy All-Star: Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365 is a must. Experience with Dext Prepare, Yooz, and expense management platforms would be an asset, showcasing your ability to adapt to the latest technological advancements like a hockey player adjusting to new equipment.
- Precision Player: Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, ensuring every financial play is executed flawlessly.
- Team Player: Strong organizational and time management skills, allowing you to seamlessly juggle multiple responsibilities like a baseball outfielder tracking down fly balls.
- Communication Champion: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to rally the team and keep everyone on the same page.
