Job Description



We are seeking recent graduates to join our  Management Development Program.  This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing.

Successful candidates have the opportunity to relocate within Canada to grow their experience. We have opportunities nationwide and relocation assistance will be provided.

The Role:

Management Trainees progress through a structured program to learn our business – from shipping and receiving, operations management to teammate development and more. You will get to know our clients by growing a sales territory of your own and providing world-class customer service. You will receive guidance, mentoring, and support from our experienced leaders to build a successful management career at Westlund.

Program Outline:

Warehouse logistics – est. 6 months: Understand the products we sell and how they get from the manufacturer to the end user.

Inside sales – est. 1 year: supporting client needs including managing large-scale projects. Get involved in order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.

Sales and Account Management - est. 1.5 years: Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build client and vendor relationships.

Supervisor - est. 6 months: It is now your opportunity to provide a strategic vision, lead a team of your own, mentor others, and run the business.

Once you have completed the phases of training, you will be ready to take on the challenge of being a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
