Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Resilience Oil and Gas team in Canada. Arcadis Canada is quickly growing in the Oil and Gas sector which has opened this opportunity for someone ready to take the next step from environmental field technician to environmental project coordinator supporting the field teams and Project Managers. This is a hybrid opportunity with some travel required throughout Atlantic Canada (10-20%).
Role accountabilities:
The Project Coordinator will collaborate with our Strategic Environmental Remediation Consultants and Construction Services team. The Project Coordinator will work alongside our Project Managers and field teams working on Contaminated Sites, Site Remediation and help with the coordination and management of environmental site assessment including Phase I ESA’s, Phase II ESA’s, remediation and risk assessments. This role may require travel to sites throughout Atlantic Canada to support field work (10-20%), responsibilities include conducting site visits and inspections, monitoring, and supervising drilling and/or remediation activities, preparing field notes, and collecting soil and groundwater samples, and writing environmental reports.
As a Project Coordinator you will maintain knowledge and familiarity with provincial and federal regulatory frameworks, provide diligent interpretation of environmental data, and manage the comparison of sample results to applicable standards/guidelines will be a key responsibility of this role.
