Are you a skilled and motivated Apprentice seeking a permanent opportunity with a Monday - Friday schedule and a chance to showcase your expertise? Look no further! We have long-term positions available beginning April 15th, 2024, with a Monday - Friday schedule that allows you to contribute your skills as needed. Based in Port Moody, these roles are perfect for local candidates!

As an Apprentice Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings and supporting as a labourer. If you hold an Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and are physically capable of handling the job demands, we encourage you to apply.  

Perks of the job   

• Competitive Pay - $26 - $28.60 - rate is subject to experience and level of apprenticeship
• Benefits after 300 hours of work.
• Monday - Friday schedule
• Financial assistance is provided for apprentices working towards their Journeyperson certification.

What would you be doing?  

• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.  
• Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.  
• Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.  
• Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.  
• Maintain and repair piping systems.  

Does this sound like you?  

• Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
• Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation) tickets.
• Experience with hydro testing an asset.
• Enjoy a varied workload.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
