An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Burlington office for a dedicated fulltime Accounting Technician and Bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing books of accounts including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Delivering essential bookkeeping support to clients.
- Providing solutions for accounting software challenges.
- Accurately calculating and preparing GST/HST payroll and other government remittances.
- Preparing essential documents like T4 s T4A s and T5018 s.
- Handling WSIB and EHT filings efficiently.
- Recording investments using specialized software or Excel.
- Crafting personal income tax returns with precision.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- A postsecondary degree in accounting or a related field.
- A solid foundation of five years or more in a public accounting firm.
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop versions) is a must.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
