Job Summary
The Mental Health and Addictions Centre will be an integral part of a mental health and addictions system redesigned as a community-oriented service delivery model. As the locus of care shifts to the community, inpatient services will become even more focused on creating a therapeutic environment that enables a seamless transition to and from community-based services.

The Clerk IV (Project Coordinator) provides advanced administrative support to the Operational Readiness team for the Mental Health and Addictions Centre (MHAC), and reports directly to the Director, Mental Health and Addictions, Acute Care and Tertiary Services. The Coordinator is a key member of the team, and is responsible for the coordination and development of processes related to MHAC, community readiness and program development.

The Project Coordinator will be the initial contact for all internal and external inquiries for the Operational Readiness team. They will be responsible for coordinating user group sessions, staff updates, stakeholder information sessions, etc… This position requires regular use of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (especially shared calendars and distribution lists) and Word. Other duties as required.

Job Demands

Regularly requires bilateral repetitive fine motor skills (i.e. typing and mousing) while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database files.

Job Qualifications

Education
Successful completion of a two-year Office Administration or Business Administrative program from an approved/recognized college is required.

Experience
A minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Meditech would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to provide quality work in a timely manner.
Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a deadline driven, team-orientated environment.
