We are seeking a Rotation Asset Analyst to join our Asset Lifecycle Management Department. Under the general direction of the Rotating Assets Team Lead, act as the Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) technical expert for all associated mechanical, electrical and control systems, including assets operating within offgrid, remote northern communities. The Rotating Asset Analyst is responsible for the analysis of all assets operational performance and maintenance history to ensure they are meeting expected lifespans and performance benchmarks. The Rotating Asset Analyst will work with technical staff in selecting the best-fit preventive and predictive maintenance tasks using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles, conduct studies of the maintenance and failure data as well as prepare subsequent reports. The Rotating Asset Analyst is also responsible for the review and reliability analysis of rotating assets to ensure lifecycle policies are consistent with optimal asset management principles as well as work jointly with internal and external experts to reflect current best maintenance practices.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and communicate recommended actions and/or alternatives to optimize asset lifecycle delivery by balancing asset performance, cost, and risk based on asset lifecycle study results.
- Determining the amount of preventative and predictive maintenance tasks for rotating assets based on mode, cause, task analysis, and ensure that assigned tasks are applicable and cost-effective.
- Conducts studies assessing maintenance practices and the applicability of maintenance tasks against failure data to determine equipment and infrastructure reliability.
- Recommend and coordinate changes to maintenance standards and the setting of the maintenance task frequency or triggers as required to ensure reliability of rotating asset.
- Review the CMMS implementation of the maintenance plan and monitor execution performance.
- Review asset performance data and perform reliability engineering analysis on rotating assets.
- Develop, review, and revise Maintenance Standards that outline maintenance tasks and intervals for rotating assets.
- Assist in development of asset value model that includes reliability, ownership costs, and economic end-of-life analysis models to ensure consistency with field experience.
- Consult on rotating asset repair/replace strategy and justifications.
- Assist in developing rotating asset need scope (in ANT), equipment operational oversight metrics and ensuring appropriate asset information is collected for Asset Condition Assessments and/or asset lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a diploma course in Mechanical or Electrical Technology from a recognized technical institute plus a minimum five-years of experience as a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technologist or technician in the field directly related to operation and/or maintenance of rotating and related assets.
- Would be an asset to have experience in RCM system analysis and maintenance task selection and additional industry-provided education in RCM philosophy, mechanical and/or electrical, and/or controls technology, maintenance management systems, and maintenance program management.
- Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance analysis and in conjunction with technical staff, select applicable and cost-effective maintenance tasks.
- Would be an asset to have RCM analysis demonstrated ability.
- Possess a sound background in the operation and maintenance of rotating and related assets.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports.
- Demonstrated ability to verbally communicate technical information to stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of Corporation policies, Administrative Directives, procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Safety conscious and be knowledgeable about Corporate safety rules and regulations.
- Possess computer skills with a working knowledge of operating systems including Windows 7 and software including Word, Access, Power Point, and Excel.
- Experience with SAP, RMS, SharePoint, Power BI and/or GIS would be an asset.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $41.77 - $57.63 Hourly, $80,036.06 - $110,438.64 Annually.
