The Department of Oncology in the Faculty of Health Sciences is a research-intensive department comprised of nearly 60 full-time faculty members who lead and collaborate on cutting-edge clinical trials, health services and translational research. Local assets that foster innovation and impact nationally and internationally include the Coordination and Methods Centre for the Ontario Clinical Oncology Group, as well as the Escarpment Cancer Research Institute, a joint McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences research institute focused on interdisciplinary research that benefits and improves the lives of people affected by cancer

The Department of Oncology is seeking an exceptional Statistical Analyst II to provide biostatistical and methodological support on investigator-led, multi-centre clinical trials. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled analyst with strong applied statistical coding skills and a background in health research and/or epidemiology to support collaborative clinical trials research with our partner hospitals, under the direction of a faculty biostatistician

Job Summary:
Responsible for the application of complex statistical and technical skills toward the collection, analysis, and translation of statistical data for a variety of research projects. Conducts statistical research and analysis and compiles and interprets statistical records and reports for a variety of research projects. Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability and exercises substantial personal responsibility and accountability to deliver results. Provides lead hand supervision to other staff
