Job description
Director of Ecommerce
Our client is searching for a Director of Ecommerce to join their team. This role will be responsible for leading and growing the online sales channel of the company, by developing and executing the ecommerce roadmap, driving online revenue and profitability, and optimizing the customer experience. A successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to ensure that the ecommerce business is aligned with the overall business goals. This role is based out of the Regina office and reports directly to the Vice President of Customer Experience.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Manage the revenue, expenses and profitability of the online business
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth and profitability, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives
- Oversee the day to day management of the ecommerce platform, including site updates, promotions and customer service
- Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Function as the primary point of contact, primary administrator, and internal expert of the ecommerce strategy and systems
- Optimize the customer journey and user experience to improve conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive traffic and conversion through paid and organic channels
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure smooth operation of the ecommerce business
- Integrate and reinforce data-driven decision making
Your strengths include: - 5+ years experience in ecommerce, preferably in a senior leadership role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred
- Extensive ecommerce experience, including management of large-scale ecommerce platforms resulting in an increase in customer lifetime value and revenue for the company
- Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent analytical skills and experience using data to drive business decisions
