We are looking to hire an Underground Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON., on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is 5-5-4, 10 hour shifts.
Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
In this role, you will be assigned for a minimum of one year to the Underground Operations where you will be trained while receiving your underground common core modules. Following this work position, you will be integrated into the engineering department as positions become available. Integration will follow a rotation through various engineering function that may include: survey, ventilation, longhole planning, short term planning, ground control, and scheduling. The rotational program will be tailored to both the candidate and departmental needs to ensure required credentials are met for application to the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

To qualify for this role, you must have be a recent graduate of a Mine Engineering program. The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Timmins, Ontario, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to surface via a modern one thousand eighty metre deep shaft capable of forty-eight hundred tonnes per day.
