Closing date Apr 6, 2024 Job Description Full-Time, Permanent The Town of Banff Water Services department is in search of a visionary Wastewater Treatment Plant Foreperson to join our team and champion the leadership necessary for maintaining a high standard of environmental stewardship. As a Level IV Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will be joining a dedicated group of employees known to work hard and show their passion for caring for our environment through safe and diligent treatment practices. We take pride in serving our community of 9,000 residents, with a tourist and seasonal population which can often exceed 30,000.
You’ll get to know the infrastructure of our Town and our modern Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) plant from the inside out. As a certified wastewater professional, you are not just overseeing daily operations; you are shaping the future of our environmental impact. We are looking for an influential leader who not only possesses a profound understanding of wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and safety protocols but can inspire and lead a team to achieve excellence. The successful candidate will showcase exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to environmental compliance. The Banff Wastewater Treatment Plant is on the leading edge of treatment practices and effluent quality limits in the country.
You ideally have a class 3Q Alberta driver’s license, experience in operating heavy and light equipment and valid CPR and First Aid certification. Additional water and wastewater certifications, including Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection, would be an asset.
