Job description

Reporting to the Director or Operations and Finance, you will be establishing a sales pipeline to evaluate the efficiency of individual sales approaches, staying updated on the most recent industry developments, and delivering outstanding post-sales support to ensure customer retention.

Responsibilities
• Assisting Sales Representatives by addressing technical inquiries from customers during outbound phone calls
• Identifying potential customers through networking, cold-calling, and email communications
• Creating and delivering sales presentations to both prospective and existing clients
• Compiling regular sales reports and crafting sales territory plans
• Conducting research on competitors' products, pricing, and product performance to understand customer preferences
• Formulating innovative sales strategies to achieve sales targets
• Swiftly submitting customer purchase orders to the relevant department for processing
• Resolving customer grievances promptly and professionally to uphold customer loyalty
• Enhancing industry knowledge through participation in educational workshops and reading professional publications
• Managing existing account relationships to ensure the satisfaction of customer needs
• Employing strong project management and communication skills to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Independently managing administrative tasks for designated customers, including listing forms, promotional plans, and other customer requirements
• Overseeing product rollouts and following up with customers and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assisting with brand development by creating project plans and critical paths for product launches
• Holding weekly meetings with the Director of Operations and Finance to provide status updates on all projects
• Collaborating closely with the sales administration team to drive sales improvements through demos, promotional activities, supporting documents, and retail execution excellence
• Driving sales growth for current customers by expanding programs, implementing profitable changes, and introducing new product lines in alignment with company objectives and leadership direction
• Pursuing leads with potential customers both within and outside the grocery and CPG industry to boost sales
• Managing head office communications for new and existing customers
Qualifications
• Preferred degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
• Demonstrated sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Sage 300
• Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
• Effective communication and excellent organizational abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
