Project Engineer

Full-time, Hybrid or Remote position – Based in Sudbury, On
THE COMPANY: An expanding group of companies based in Sudbury, Ontario focused primarily on the mining and heavy industrial sector completing engineering and fabrication projects primarily across northern Ontario.
They are a small team (20+) that emphasizes mentorship, internal promotion employee satisfaction, engagement, and internal growth.
THE ROLE: As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Production Management teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives through the development and improvement of current manufacturing and engineering practices and processes, along with the improvement of efficiencies across operation
- Integrate with Business Development, Engineering, and Production teams to support projects from cradle to grave
- Leveraging technical expertise to develop innovative solutions for customer-provided technical challenges.
- Engaging with clients and business development personnel to cultivate strong relationships with customers and other technical stakeholders.
- Providing on-site commissioning and management for projects involving installation or construction aspects.
WHAT YOU BRING - 5+ years of Project Engineering experience
- P.Eng certification required
- Experience working for an Engineering Service Provider
- Previous work in a fabrication facility
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Computer Literacy
- Experience in 2D and 3D design work (Solidworks, Inventory, CAD
- Ability to work remotely or on Site
