Job description
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and fostering relationships with potential clients with heavy focus on the commercial construction sector. This role requires a strategic and proactive individual with a deep understanding of construction processes, a strong sales acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial construction and education market.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting and networking.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on construction materials, methods, and best practices.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, construction technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Educate clients on the benefits and features of our construction solutions.
- Proposal and Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare and present compelling proposals to clients, showcasing the value proposition of our construction services.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure profitable and mutually beneficial agreements.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges.
- Provide regular feedback to the management team on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in selling to the commercial construction sector strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
