THE OPPORTUNITY
The Commercial Product Manager is responsible for driving the conception, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technical intelligence subscription offerings across various technical analysis verticals. These innovative product offerings are strategically aligned with pivotal technologies in semiconductor-enabled electronics systems, catering to distinct customer segments and seamlessly integrating with complementary business intelligence solutions.
This role involves adeptly gathering and prioritizing market requirements, collaboratively defining products and features that effectively address evolving market needs. This position requires proactive orchestration of subscription renewals, upselling initiatives, and devising strategies for acquiring new logos, ensuring a mutually beneficial exchange of value with clients.
Working in close collaboration with fellow Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Platform/Software teams, the Commercial Product Manager will contribute to a cohesive strategy. Their efforts will ensure that the product set aligns seamlessly with the overall organizational strategy, and that key performance indicators and customer satisfaction goals are consistently met.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Define key performance indicators of the product set by Customer Segment
- Define the available market and assess the alignment of the product set to the serviceable addressable market (SAM)
- Own the definition of SAM alignment scoring criteria and ensure sales and relevant market inputs are leveraged in SAM audits.
- Engage clients and prospective clients to learn and document high-value problems and strategic needs.
- Analyze market trends, identify long-term product opportunities, and create a vision of how products will be positioned over time.
- Prioritize growth activities based on Business Impact and Client Benefit
- Lead the creation of business cases and develop an overall Business Plan
- Develop and execute revenue growth and revenue retention plans.
- Validate the business impact of content-driven features.
- Provide inputs to the Platform team on User requirements, Buyer expectations, and market demands.
- Foster alignment with technical subject matter experts on event participation
- Act as the Market Subject Matter Expert to Marketing and Sales
- Lead the development of a go-to-market strategy.
- Engage with Marketing to develop appropriate promotional programs.
- Document User and Buyer personas
- Support Sales in articulating the value proposition to clients.
- Oversee renewals pipeline in collaboration with Account Executives, Sales Operations, and Technical Product Managers
- Research and release pricing strategies for renewing subscriptions, including the identification of cross-sell, upsell, and high-value opportunities.
- Conduct win-loss analyses to document the buying process clients use to select a product.
- Develop win-back strategies as required.
WHO YOU ARE
- Undergraduate degree in a field related to business or high-technology (computer science, engineering) or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role.
- 3+ years of experience working with subscription style and/or platform products.
- Ability to effectively work with clients and internal teams to distill feedback and drive consensus.
- High level of comfort presenting to technical and business audiences
- Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives independently.
- Advanced knowledge of the product management life cycle
- Proven ability to define product roadmaps from conception to delivery.
- Knowledge of the semiconductor industry combined with deep knowledge of assigned technical arena.
