Red Seal Millwright - $41 -$43 /hr - Selkirk

If so, I'd love to hear from you! A North American leading Steel producer is looking for ticketed Millwrights to join their Selkirk maintenance team!

Permanent Position
Schedule: Different shift opportunities are available based on a few factors discussed with the hiring manager
Salary: Red Seal Millwrights $41 - $43 per hour

Responsibilities
As a Millwright in this manufacturing environment, a normal day would include:

- Tolboox meeting covering the scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work to be done that shift.
- Inspects equipment for defects i.e. misalignment, wear, and sufficient lubrication.
- Consider optimal repair strategies to minimize interruptions to production.
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment.
- Alert supervisors of situations where immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation would have no harmful effect.
- Assembles or aligns gears, bearings, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits.
- Changes sets up, and adjusts equipment as required by current operating conditions.
- Interprets blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
- Dismantle, clean repairs, perform replacements, lubricate, and reassembles mechanical equipment.
- Performs routine layout work, fabrication, or repair of structures and components.
- Selects material in accordance with suitability for jobs
- Operates basic machines and power tools i.e. drill press, pipe threading machine, and power saw.
- Erects scaffolds and performs rigging as necessary.
- Prepares for work orders and record all work activities in maintenance software

Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Red Seal Millwright certification
- Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC's, welding, crane work
- Ability to work a rotating schedule (continental style schedule) 12 hour shifts as well an 8 hour day shift (Monday - Friday)
- Strong communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades.
- Basic computer experience necessary.
