Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will support the corporate FP&A and external financial reporting including various projects and initiatives driving business growth.
We are recruiting on behalf of a Canadian owned and operated company in Vaughan that is growing through acquisitions and strategic investments. They are seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with real estate or asset management sector experience in public accounting or industry for this exciting, dynamic, and high-visibility opportunity supporting senior management and the Board of Directors!
Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, FS notes, and MD&A
• Ensure accuracy of forecasting, analysis, and operational key performance metrics of portfolios
• Prepare forecasts and analysis of funds, NAV calculations, distributions, and other ad hoc reports
• Assist in budgeting process, consolidations, and prepare Board-level summary presentations
• Analyze trends for revenue and expenses, and identify recommendations for improvements
• Complete market research for asset management team including pricing and services offered
• Collaborate with various leaders in compilation, support, and business operations metrics
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and due diligence processes as required
The company is offering a competitive compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and annual bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry
• Strong technical accounting skills under IFRS
• Well-developed project management and technology skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
