As a Systems Administrator 3, you will be responsible for assisting with setting direction for the team and influencing infrastructure decisions. You will ensure that storage infrastructure is installed, provisioned, secured, and maintained in accordance with corporate architecture standards and procedures. Primary duties include:
- Provide Storage Infrastructure System Management for NetApp MetroCluster.
- Perform NetApp capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning.
- Responsible for NetApp and associated security toolsets.
- Responsible for Linux server management and security toolsets.
- Lead technical assessments of existing MetroCluster, software, toolsets and ONTAP upgrades with MetroCluster focus.
- Provide training and mentoring of storage team.
- Coordinate and implement lifecycle programs pertaining to storage.
- Responsible for NetApp data protection and data recovery.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
Qualifications - A completed 2-year Technology diploma and at least 8 years of experience; OR
- A degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience with MetroCluster over IP and knowledge in integration with Active Directory and RHEL IDM.
- Success in this position requires strong research and analytical skills, an aptitude for problem solving, the ability to relay highly technical information in an easily understandable way, and proven exemplary customer service and focus.
