Job Description

The Payroll/Benefit Technician is accountable for providing a timely, efficient and accurate Payroll/Benefit service to the staff of the Saskatchewan Health Authority - Prince Albert and Area.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Experience
Education -Complete grade 12 plus a certificate in Accounting or classes in the Certified Management Accounting Program or related degree or suitable combination of education and experience. Typing speed of 55cwpm. Experience -Minimum of one year recent experience in Payroll and/or Accounting -Working within a unionized environment & interpreting CBA language is considered an asset. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -Demonstrated proficiency with computers -Proficiency in Word, Access, Excel, Power point, and a Windows environment is required.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
