Caron is currently recruiting for a Dispatcher for our Edmonton Terminal. Our dispatcher reports directly to the Terminal Manager. The position is responsible for dispatching drivers and equipment in an efficient and economical way while meeting our customer needs through superior customer service. This position works 12 hours a day, on an 8 on, and 6 off schedule .

• Polite and professional attitude
• Analytical with an investigative mind
• High regard for safety
• Able to be on call weekly, with a premium paid (sharing on-call responsibilities with terminal support)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• 2+ years of directly related experience in bulk commodities transportation
• High School/GED

The role :

• Dispatch drivers and equipment to meet customer needs
• Follow and understand Federal Hours of Service
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
• Enter reporting details in Samsara, AXON or Stellar
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards
• Participate in safety related compliance, regulatory programs and education
• Perform all other duties as assigned
