The Opportunity

The Manager, Engineering is fully responsible for the overall strategic management and direction of the Engineering Section. This includes the development and implementation of policy standards relating to the work of the Section; and providing strategic leadership and direction that contributes to the effectiveness of city-wide departmental programs, services, and initiatives within the Engineering Section.

 

Leadership and direction are also provided towards all related programs in the portfolio, which includes asset management, asset renewal, design and construction, maintenance, repair, standards development, environmental studies, project management, policy recommendation, land development and capital infrastructure project forecasts and budgets.

 

The role reports to the Director of Engineering & Operations and is also responsible for the following accountabilities:
