Housekeeper/Cook Toronto ON

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for a private residence located in the High Park neighborhood of Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence along with regular meal preparation. This position is fulltime liveout Monday to Friday 12:30pm 8:30pm. This role relocates to a country residence during the summer months and requires the successful applicant to stay overnight during the week. Accommodations will be provided during the summer.

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced and wellrounded housekeeper who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You are a strong cook are comfortable with meal prep and can confidently follow a recipe. Bonus if you can meal plan and manage kitchen inventories. You have a good eye for detail and able to multitask; cleaning fresh fingerprints off windows while starting your meal prep. You are comfortable working while the family is home and have a true passion for organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping which includes dusting vacuuming kitchen and bathroom cleaning washing floors
  
• Preparing dinners for the family prepping groceries stocking the fridge with snacks and other items as needed
  
• Maintain household inventory prepare household inventory checklists
  
• Daily laundry with some occasional ironing steaming and stain removal
  
• Trash and recycling management
  
• Running errands grocery shopping and other provisioning as needed
  
• Cover and uncover outdoor furniture
  
• Special projects include but not limited to quarterly deep cleans household cupboard reorganization vacuuming vehicle interiors and garage
  
• Other duties as required from time to time
  

Applicant Qualities:

• Must have previous experience working in a private residence
  
• Excellent housekeeping laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
  
• Strong cooking and food preparation skills
  
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times exercise diplomacy and discretion and respect of boundaries
  
• Valid Ontario drivers license
  
• Access to a personal vehicle is strongly preferred
  
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
