Job description

his is a contract position for an ITSM Specialist for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Twelve Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a remote role that requires the candidate to be onsite 5 days a week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
This position will support and manage the service management role related to hosting client applications in the shared hosting environment of the Shared Utility Service (SUS). They will perform roles such as managing operations support and queue manager, service request fulfillment and configuration management.
The ITIL Specialist Analyst has expertise in Middleware services and technology such as application hosting services, WebSphere, infrastructure configuration, network services and cloud services. This position will provide support for the larger SUS team in hosting and supporting 200+ Java applications.

Operational tasks include processes incident intake and triage, service request fulfillment, change request assessment and implementation, and general reporting and data analysis.

Qualifications
Experience with ITIL Incident Management process
Experience with ITIL Change Management process
Demonstrated experience with operations and service management on large IT platforms
Experience with service management, analytics, and reporting tools
experience in the development of internet/intranet applications of enterprise-wide large, medium or small size, multi platform, n-tier, multi component applications
In-depth knowledge of SDLC and DevOps processes and tools.
3+ years of experience in enterprise application development focused around the use of features such as APIs (REST and SOAP), microservices, SOA, ESB, Single Sign On, Identity Access Management, Omni-channel design, J2EE and J2EE security
