About the Opportunity
- Responsible of full-cycle general accounting, including preparing accounting entries for multi-business lines
- Record and reconcile transactions in accordance with accounting standards
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing vendor invoices and customer payments
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Assist in month-end closing tasks
- Review junior associate's work and provide coaching through sharing of experiences and best practices
- Take lead in the annual audit to ensure completion in a timely manner and with minimal adjustments
- Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process
- Solid knowledge of tax reporting requirements and respond with tax bureaus
- Assist in the development and implementation of new internal control policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations and compliance, to ensure the financial health of the company
- Assist with ad-hoc projects across the Finance team
About You - CPA/CA/equivalent, or working towards a designation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
- 3-5 years experience in full-cycle accounting, preferably in the financial service industry
- 3 years of solid experience with QuickBooks or equivalent
- Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Must be comfortable being Hands-On and demonstrate the ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy through performing self-reviews
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Salary Range $60,000 - $80,000/year
