On behalf of our client, we are looking for an IT Security Design Specialist to support the design, build, and support of a new solution.
This role requires on-site attendance in Government of Canada facilities in the National Capital Region.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Analysis of completed designs and implementation tasks.
- Building, configuring, and completing associated build documentation and operational procedures.
- Review, analyze, and/or apply architectural methods, frameworks, and models.
- Review, analyze, and/or apply a broad range of security technologies, standards, and protocols.
- Review, analyze, and/or apply the significance and implications of market and technology trends.
- Analyze IT Security statistics, tools and techniques and conduct data security designation/classification studies.
- Analyze security data and provide advisories and reports.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Must have a 3-year college diploma or a university degree in a relevant field, or sufficient experience in the field.
- Must hold a Government of Canada security clearance (level Secret)
- Must have a minimum of ten years’ relevant experience in related positions.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Experience with CSE security guidance (ITSG 22, 28, 31, 33, etc.)
- Experience authoring build documentation & operating procedures
