Job description
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in Montreal, Canada (remote). In this role, you will be focused on our commercial sector customers. You will be the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. You'll discover and analyze our customer business and technical needs and collaborate with the Sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the right solutions from across the Red Hat’s portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation. As a Solutions Architect, you’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a key part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and of detailed understanding of business processes.
- Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to achieve sales quotas
- Meet revenue goals and deployment and service objectives while maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Prepare detailed specifications of our offerings and implement customer installation plans
- Design solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business cases
- Design value-driven architectures and present the application and ROI of our technologies
- Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales
- Use your skills as a technical solutions expert and your understanding of industry best practices to deliver timely results to customers that satisfy their expectations
- Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successe
- 10+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or an equivalent role
- Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs
- Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures
- Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
- Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
- Advanced knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), provisioning and patch management solutions like Red Hat Satellite, and configuration management technologies like Red Hat Ansible Automation, Puppet, or Chef or other related technologies
- Solid knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions in the market, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, KVM, VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure

The salary range for this position is $178,000- $285,000 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation).
