Description

  1. Leading and overseeing the culinary operations of the hotel's multiple dining establishments, including fine dining restaurants, banquet facilities, and room service, all with a coastal flair.
  2. Developing and executing innovative menus that celebrate the region's seafood, locally-sourced ingredients, and culinary traditions while meeting the diverse tastes and preferences of our guests.
  3. Managing and mentoring a team of talented chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and inspiration to ensure a high standard of culinary excellence.
  4. Maintaining strict quality control standards in food preparation, presentation, and taste.
  5. Collaborating with the food and beverage team to create and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability while showcasing the best of Nova Scotia's culinary treasures.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
  7. Establishing and maintaining strong vendor relationships to source high-quality ingredients and products unique to our coastal locale.
  8. Contributing to the development of promotional and marketing strategies to attract and retain guests through exceptional dining experiences.
