Job description
The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SaskGaming reports to the board of directors of SaskGaming. The board is composed of seven members, three of whom are nominated by the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN). Through the Chair, SaskGaming's board of directors is accountable to LGS and the Minister of LGS. The Minister functions as a link between LGS and the Provincial Cabinet, as well as the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. Major Responsibilities:
- Be the chief spokesperson for SaskGaming.
- Lead a high-performing organization.
- Build strong working relationships with the Board of Directors, LGS Executive, regulator, peers within the gaming industry and the broader community within which SaskGaming operates.
- Accountable for the overall management of the corporation including overseeing the establishment of annual business plans consistent with the vision, business objectives and shareholder direction/interests and for monitoring results of business plans and strategies, making adjustments as may be required.
- Define, develop and evaluate corporate goals, long-term objectives, and strategies, to align with Crown sector strategic priorities, shareholder direction, and ensure sustainable returns and long-term viability.
- Lead and embed accountability, respect, transparency, efficiency and continuous improvement in the processes and practices throughout the organization.
- Monitor the performance of the organization to ensure adherence to Board and shareholder direction, established budgets, and service excellence.
- Accountable for ensuring that all business operations comply with legal, regulatory, contractual and corporate standards.
- Present reports and recommendations on the operations and finances of the corporation and provide information, options and commentary pertinent to the deliberations of the Board and LGS on key issues.
