Strategic Group, based in Calgary, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our Operations team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining office operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office environment.
Responsibilities: - Establish and enforce office policies, procedures, and systems to maintain efficient office services.
- Lead and mentor the Operations team, overseeing performance and providing coaching as needed.
- Manage the Office Operations budget, implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Negotiate and manage contracts related to the procurement of goods and services, including consumable products, office equipment, maintenance services, and telecommunications.
- Maintain transparent communication with Strategic Executives regarding office procedures and procurement decisions.
- Control storage facilities and optimize space utilization for organizational efficiency.
- Oversee hardware, phone assignments, and user support for Microsoft Teams to ensure smooth operation of communication tools.
- Coordinate procurement for company events and provide event management assistance as required.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure timely and accurate account details for account management purposes.
Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of experience in office management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in supply management and budget preparation and analysis.
- Proven experience in developing office standards and protocols.
- High level of initiative and a commitment to process improvement.
- Excellent relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
