Expanding privately owned General Contractor based in New Westminster is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. The organization undertakes a variety of commercial and light industrial projects ranging from new build office buildings and grocery stores to warehouses and tenant improvements. Projects range in size from $1-$10m and all the work is local to the Vancouver and Fraser Valley region. The owners of the company take pride in having an honest and communicative style with their clients.
Your new role
The position will suit a proactive Project Manager that has a strong attention to detail. Many of the tenants or end users you will deal with are knowledgeable regarding the construction process and you must be comfortable interacting with such people with tact and diplomacy. The reputation of the organization is built on long term repeat business and thus relationships with clients and trade contractors are of paramount importance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity you should have a relevant technical school education and a solid history of competently completed small to mid-sized commercial projects. You must have an honest demeanour, communicate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with your trades and clients.
