Department Overview
The Finance Operations (FinOps) centre, located in Greater Moncton, New Brunswick, is an integral part of the Finance organization, providing finance services with a commitment to operational excellence. Our diverse team of enthusiastic and dedicated professionals make a difference to TD's culture and bottom line every day. Our centre resides in TD’s Corporate Office located at Cadillac Fairview’s CF Champlain shopping centre in Dieppe.
Job Details
Reporting to the Professional Operations Management (POM) team, the Operations Analyst will own several accounting and operational activities for FinOps. The position requires flexibility, an entrepreneurial spirit, investigative skills, a strategic mindset and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong time management and organization skills, as well as comfort with managing complex business demands in a fast-paced environment. The ability to communicate clear & timely messaging to peers, management and executives will be essential.
Job Requirements
The candidate must possess experience in addition to customer service and technical skills:
- +5 years of experience with financial, people, operations and/or data management
- Demonstrated history of accounting & investigative skills
- Developed analytical skills; assess risk & waste, challenge the status quo
- Sound judgement & decision-making abilities
- Strong knowledge of MS Office apps, especially Excel
- A communicator who engages colleagues, partners and stakeholders
- The constitution to operate calmly under pressure
- The empathy to work effectively with teams & partners with varied priorities
While prior experience with the following software is not required, the successful candidate must display an aptitude to self-teach and effectively use:
- Visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Automation software (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, VB/Macro, Alteryx)
Additional Information
While not explicitly required, a post-secondary degree would be considered an asset.
- Relevant areas of study include, but are not limited to finance, accounting or financial management, business, computer science, operations or logistics.
