Scope of position:

The Retail Systems Analyst will use their knowledge of store systems, POS architecture, business applications, and their underlying architecture to conduct software quality assurance/testing activities to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of new software, applications and to define/develop new tools to optimize business processes.

You will develop and maintain deep technical and functional subject matter expertise of Glentel’s business processes, initiatives, and developments and keep up to date with new and upcoming technology trends. You will lead, motivate, train and transfer technical knowledge to team members and project teams.

In addition, this role will require you to connect with vendors as needed and provide day-to-day level two support for Glentel’s POS, this includes system set up, troubleshooting reported issues and managing change. On-call availability will be required.

Skills and Specifications:

• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft operating systems, SAAS based application and the Wireless industry
• Experience testing web-based software applications
• Experience with testing tracking tools and project management tools
• Experience with creating business requirements
• Knowledge of retail applications and retail store systems
• Knowledge and experience with retail application software (e.g. POS, inventory management, Dropship)
• Knowledge of PC and Payment Devices configuration and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Business analysis and problem solving skills
• Team player qualities: quality, integrity, service, accountability, adaptability and motivation
