Summary

The Product Market Manager (PMM) is a product specialist and serves as the overall subject matter expert for our Thermoformer and Traysealer product lines(s). You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, developing product line strategies, conducting market research, and guiding the business on the financial performance of the products. *Please note there are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.

Time Utilization

The PMM will travel up to 30% of the time. Schedule will need to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer schedules.

Basic Responsibilities (this list is an overview of key duties and is not exhaustive)

• The PMM will be the main point of technical reference regarding Thermoformers and Traysealers equipment.
• You will proactively research product line dynamics (competition, pricing, regulations, customer needs, business trends, etc.), develop detailed knowledge and insight about each market segment, and apply this knowledge to drive short and long term strategies for product success
• You will also assist in developing short and long term strategies for assigned product line(s) and create annual marketing plan.
• You will train the Sales team on the Thermoformer and Traysealer product lines about information required for effective selling to our customers.
• Other duties related to the position to be provided.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technically related field, and seven (7) years of experience in capital equipment or the packaging industry, or product management. We will also consider an equivalent combination of technical education and capital equipment experience.

Communication & Understanding

The successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as technical drawings and schematics. Must also have the ability to effectively convey information in written form to a broad audience, and be able to speak effectively before groups. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Proficiency in English is required; bilingual ability in French is preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the successful candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. A working knowledge of SAP CRM is preferred.
