De Beers Group has an opportunity within the Environment and Permitting Department at the Calgary Support Centre, for highly motivated and energetic team member.  Reporting to the Manager, Environment & Permitting the successful candidate is responsible for providing specialist advice, guidance and support to operations and projects in implementing and maintaining the requirements of environmental approvals, regulations, and management plans. The role provides focused support related to the successful planning and delivery of environmental permits and management programs, and to monitoring compliance with regulatory approvals. This is achieved by collaborating with environmental staff at the operations and support staff, and across disciplines, to support regulatory compliance activities, and engaging with regulators and Indigenous communities.  The role also provides technical support on water and environmental management and provides inputs into risk assessments, project planning, and incident response and reporting.  The ideal candidate is one who strives for continuous improvement and who is committed to safe working practices while striving for zero harm.
