Position Summary This position is responsible for managing instructors and student correspondence in relation to practicums in Continuing Studies
Duties & Responsibilities 1. Collaborates regularly with Program Coordinator to ensure practicum compliance with guidelines or protocols where appropriate
2. Assesses potential host sites’ suitability in consultation with the Program Coordinator
3. Coordinates the acquisition and maintenance of Affiliation Agreements with practicum sites, and community or clinical partners
4. Develops and maintains positive relations with partners to ensure continued high-quality delivery of practicum education
5. Assigns students to practicum instructors and sites and corresponds with site supervisor as required
6. Manages instructor and student correspondence in relation to practicums
7. Ensures students are informed of and complete agency or placement site requirements prior to placement, including but not limited to Criminal Record Checks and immunization requirements
8. Facilitates practicum orientation sessions and provides information and advice to students as required
9. Manages practicum documents and records, including practicum packages, ensuring completion of practicum documents from initial student contact to practicum completion
10. Informs Program Coordinator on issues arising from practicums and collaborates with Program Coordinator and practicum instructors to resolve related challenges
11. Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications Education and Experience - A Two (2) Year Diploma from a recognized educational institution in the program area for which the position is responsible.

- Three (3) years recent experience related specifically to the program area in which the position is responsible.
- Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities - Strong computer literacy skills including demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer applications such as MS Office.

Salary Range - Prorated based on FTE $51,514 – $68,685 – $72,119 annualized (Pay Grid 3) based on 0.6 FTE. Normal starting salary placement is between $51,514 and $68,685 Compensation beyond the control/mid-point requires approval by the Public Sector Employer’s Council Secretariat (PSEC)
