Technologist - Network Services

Status: Term (6 years)
Location: Hydro Place

You will be responsible to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, modification, installation and housekeeping of networking and telecommunications equipment and systems. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: 48Vdc distribution systems, microwave radio systems, mobile radio equipment, powerline carrier, multiplex equipment, telephone line/drop equipment, data communications systems, supervisory and control systems, PBX & unified communications systems including video conferencing, LAN, WAN, fiber optic systems and a wide variety of computer systems and peripheral equipment. All other duties related to or associated with this classification.

You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and for environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

Job Requirements:

You have graduated high school and have successfully completed a two or three year diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology or Computer Systems/Networking from a recognized post-secondary institution and either have completed the four year training program established by the Corporation or have four year's experience as a technician in the discipline. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess an appropriate valid driver's license.
