Job description

RANDSTAD is recruiting on behalf of a highly esteemed Canadian leader in meat production and manufacturing, specifically for its facility in London, Ontario. The Shipper/Receiver position is situated at Wilton Grove, London, Ontario, presenting an exceptional opportunity within the London Ontario region. Initially a contract role, there exists the potential for direct transition into a permanent position with our esteemed client.

This dynamic role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities within the distribution department. The compensation package starts at $23.29 per hour, inclusive of vacation pay and benefits.

We are actively seeking candidates for a single weekend shift every week, specifically on Saturdays, spanning from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 12 hours.

Training sessions are scheduled on weekdays, Monday to Friday, for a duration of 3-4 weeks. The training sessions commence at either 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM, spanning 8 hours each day. Moreover, training will extend to cover the weekend shift on Saturdays, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities
Aid in the organization of the warehouse through consolidation, communication, and cleanliness efforts.
· Verify the integrity of packaging and arrange items on pallets according to production dates.
· Select, assemble, and wrap all outgoing pallets in accordance with customer specifications.
· Position finalized pallets in the assigned areas for further processing.
· Load completed outbound orders onto trailers, adhering to pre-load audit processes and documentation guidelines.
· Execute the transfer of finished goods to and from storage trailers as needed.
· Take prompt measures to communicate or rectify any issues identified within the warehouse areas.
· Receive assigned inbound materials or packaging.
· Record inbound delivery transactions in SAP for receiving activities as necessary.
· Ensure accurate allergen and material labeling.
· Uphold adherence to FEFO methodology and all other Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Fulfill other duties as necessary.

Qualifications
Proficient in English communication, reading, and comprehension skills.
Mandatory lift truck certification is necessary for the operation of powered equipment, and certification will be supplied.
Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
Capable of working in adherence to GMPs, HACCP, Health & Safety, and WHMIS standards.
Capable of maintaining a standing and walking position throughout the shift, excelling in a high-paced work environment with repetitive tasks.
Demonstrates the ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including cool, warm, and wet settings.
